Brisbane Xmas

When the sweet sounds of Christmas carollers transcends above the city streets and both kids and grown-ups lick their lips to the sights and sounds of special treats, you know Christmas in Brisbane is in full festive swing for another year.

Brisbane's Christmas calendar kicks off with the Lighting of the Christmas Tree on 30 November and continues right through until Christmas Eve. Bursting with seasonal cheer, The City welcomes back their Christmas Music Showcase and Street Corner Carollers, hugely popular all singing, all dancing Myer Christmas Parade & Pantomime from 14 December. South Bank is going festive with its enchanted Sugarplums and Possum Chums programme and no Christmas is complete without going on the 4KQ Christmas Lights Tour and attending your local Christmas Carols.
For all your last minute Christmas shopping, there are a host of Christmas Twilight markets showcasing vintage items, fashion and bric a brac. You’ll be sure to pick up a gift or two from Christmas at Moggill, Valley Twilight Markets and BrisStyle Indie Twilight Markets,

Myer Brisbane City Christmas Windows & Santaland

DATE: 9 Nov 2012 - 6 Jan 2013
VENUE: Myer Brisbane City
91 Queen St
BRISBANE
QLD 4000
W: www.myer.com.au

Bring the family into The City to marvel at the magical Myer Brisbane City Christmas Windows, Myer’s gift to The City every year and in 2012 celebrating its 57th year.

On display right through until 6 January, the theme of the windows each year is a tightly guarded secret, making it even more exciting! And for the first time this year, a QR code will feature on the Christmas windows so you can access behind the scenes video footage of the windows. Simply hold any smartphone up to the QR code, and you will be able to access exclusive footage showing how the windows come to life, from the inspiration right through to the final creation.

Once you've checked out the windows, head upstairs and experience Santaland – a fun interactive playground where kids can ride a locomotive train, visit Santa, have their photo taken and send a letter to the North Pole.
