Queensland Museum

We are having quite a bit of rain lately. But fear not its still nice and hot and when its rainning enjoy everything Southbank has to offer. If it is rainning don't stay away Southbank - our Museum and Science Center have just been refurbished and are looking pretty amazing!!

Forget about museums being dingy places with dusty artefacts. The recently re-opened Queensland Museum has something for everyone in the family, so there's never been a better time to explore what's on show. The museum has been welcoming and inspiring Queenslanders for 150 years with its vast collections and changing exhibitions. The museum in the South Bank cultural centre also houses the Sciencentre, which offers hours of hands-on experiences for all ages.

Brisbane Comedy Festival

Start getting your giggling gear into shape now!

This year there will be some well known names back again, alongside some brand new funny faces, all to give you an even more hilarious mix than you’ve ever seen here before. Why not line-up to see your favourite comedian again and give someone new a red hot go too?

As well as the shows happening all around the building, Chalkboard returns with a surprise late-night line-up every Friday and Saturday night. They will be found at the Powerhouse in New Farm so you don't even have to go that far. We are half way through this event so quickly jump on line and get your tickets booked now.

You’ll be laughing long and hard come festival time so start warming up - you don’t want to pull a funny muscle!
